About Holistic Child Evaluation Center
Meet Our School Psychologist
Lauren McKinney is the owner of Holistic Child Evaluation Center, LLC. She is a Licensed School Psychologist who specializes in conducting gifted assessments to help families better understand their child’s cognitive learning profile. She brings expertise and compassion to her work, using each evaluation as a tool to empower children and advocate for their success in school.
Lauren earned both her Master’s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She has served in both Broward County and Charlotte County Public Schools, gaining extensive experience with students ages 4 to 18 across a wide range of abilities and needs. Her background also includes training in Applied Behavior Analysis, service on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas crisis response team, and certification in the Zones of Regulation framework.
In 2020, Lauren was honored as Florida’s Early Career School Psychologist of the Year by the Florida Association of School Psychologists (FASP)—a testament to her dedication, skill, and impact.
Known for her calm demeanor, playfulness, and ability to put children at ease, Lauren creates a comfortable environment that helps kids open up and allows her to gather meaningful, accurate results.
Outside of her professional work, Lauren is a mother, a wife, a budding gardener, and someone who loves being outdoors and staying active.

Gifted Evaluations
At Holistic Child Evaluation Center, we provide professional gifted evaluations for school-age children. Our process uses the gold-standard WISC-V assessment (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition) to identify your child’s unique strengths and educational needs.
The full gifted evaluation costs $500 and includes:
• A one-on-one testing session
• A detailed written report
• A phone consultation to explain results and next steps
Our goal is to give you a transparent process, clear answers, and actionable insights—without unnecessary complexity.
Learning Evaluations
At Holistic Child Evaluation Center, we provide professional learning evaluations for children that may be struggling academically or showing signs of a learning disability.
A full learning evaluation includes:
• A comprehensive one-on-one assessment tailored to your child’s needs (e.g., cognitive, academic, and processing skills)
• In-depth written report explaining strengths, challenges, and profiles
• A consultation to walk through results and next steps
• Personalized recommendations for how to support your child (at school, at home, and beyond)
